Tractor Tires

Tractor tires are designed for a wide variety of terrain and machines. The size of tire varies depending on the tractor used and the conditions of the area. Hard packed down soil can accommodate smoother tires for a better ride while soft soil requires large tread to get grip.

Tractor tires have different widths for different conditions as well. A wider tire floats better on soft soil which lessens the damage to the soil from the weight of the vehicle. For even more flotation a tracked wheel system can be used for wide and long traction patterns. A thin tire is better in snow and mud because it can sink to the bottom where there is friction for forward momentum.

Tractor tires can be found anywhere tractors are sold as well as large farm supply stores. The best tires are first run with no blemishes and stored inside to avoid deterioration from the sun. A B grade tire may be cheaper but may also blow out sooner. It could also be just fine, it’s a gamble with blemished tires.
