Farm Tractors

Powerful farm tractors can do a lot of work in the right hands, or cause a lot of damage in the wrong ones. The larger the machine the greater the risk of damage and accidents so safety precautions have to be considered. Larger machines also have a higher center of gravity so are more prone to rolling over. Some have tires that are over 150 pounds and require a small team to change.

Large farm tractors are less agile and more difficult to maneuver. They require larger rows, wider bridges and may not be able to fit underneath certain overpasses. They are also difficult to get in and out of, but once inside they are often as comfortable as the family car with air conditioning, a stereo and a comfortable seat.

Small farm tractors can often fit in the back of a large truck or simply be driven from one plot of land to another. Larger machines may require a semi to move from field to field as they are not designed for road travel. A smaller machine may not be able to tow huge, fancy attachments but for versatile work there is no competition.
