Agriculture Tractor

An agriculture tractor is the workhorse for farms around the world. They increase the efficiency of the farm much more than a farmer or horse could ever do. Some of the largest farm tractors are many tons, can have up to 12 wheels on four axels or large tracks, and tow some of the largest farm equipment ever built.

Typically an agriculture tractor will have a power take off feature (PTO) that supplies external power to towed equipment. Often this is the most important part of the tractor because the tower machines do most of the work while the vehicle provides a safe and comfortable place for the farmer to oversee and control the operation whether it be for plowing, planting seeds, or harvesting.

The agriculture tractor has evolved a lot over the last hundred years, typically getting larger, safer and more powerful although there are many small models for specific jobs and local applications. Modern applications use GPS to automatically guide the tractor for precision farming which lowers fuel use and prevents overlapping which lowers the farmers cost.
